HORIZON 5 is a photographic and spatial project that protests the finality often present in the ‘image’. Horizon 5 can be understood in terms of its blueness, it’s weight or what it is made of (photograph, paper, ink, a blue wall). It is also a window, a pool, the sea, the sky. It is the lazuline of melancholy and the stillness of a cloud. Horizon 5 is neither here, nor is it there. Our mind seeks meaning from its abstract incomplete, in an effort to place it somewhere. This project asks the viewer to search for the invisible inside visible.
